BJ Rea

 
Born and raised in Memphis, TN, BJ Rea is a proud father of a 4 year old daughter, with another child on the way. He has been married for almost 12 years to a very supportive stay-at-home mom. BJ played golf at Germantown High School and was part of the state championship team in 1997-1998. He was captain of the golf team his junior and senior years. His senior year BJ received the first award for Outstanding Male Golfer. He also received recognition in the local newspaper for High School Male Athlete of the Week, for his performance at the state championship, senior year.
 
After high school is where BJ’s golf career started. He was enrolled in the PGM (Professional Golf Management) program at Mississippi State University, and was on his way to becoming a golf professional. BJ worked as a golf intern locally in Memphis, TN at Windyke Country Club, and TPC at Southwind. He had the pleasure to teach summer junior clinics of all ages, as well as give private lessons to members. BJ enjoys giving lessons to all skill levels, from beginners to professionals, especially someone who wants to pick up the game for the first time. He has a lot of knowledge in golf equipment and club repair. BJ worked for Golf Galaxy, as a Golf Works manager, which he was a certified club repair technician and club fitter. He truly believes it is very important to have the proper golf equipment to get the most out of your game.
 
One of BJ’s strengths is that he has patience, and will work with someone until he has accomplished their goal for the day. BJ is a scratch golfer, and has been playing golf for 25 years. He wishes to share all the knowledge and passion he has for the game, to anybody who is willing to learn. BJ feels that golf is a game about keeping it simple, eliminating bad habits so you can enjoy yourself, and most importantly having fun.
